Why should I purchase an IDS extended warranty package?
It is highly recommended all IDS kits are covered under warranty to minimise the risk of downtime, cost of repairs whilst also benefiting from continued hotline hardware support.
Do I have the option to purchase an IDS extended warranty early?
Yes, however the extended warranty cover would not start until the expiration of the current warranty.
Can I buy more than one extended warranty package at a time?
Yes, the shop allows for entry of multiple orders. Multiple certificates will be issued.
Do you offer discounts for multiple extended warranty orders?
No, the price ensures that the Tier 2 IDS suppliers provide the high level of service expected with the extended warranty, i.e the continuation of the current advance replacement service.
Why is the DVD Drive not covered?
USB DVD Drives are now considered low cost commodity items that can be purchased via local electronic stores. It was decided not to include this item in the extended warranty package to reduce the overall cost.
What do I do if I have missed the cut off (expiry date) to buy an extended warranty?
There is a 14 day grace period to allow for late purchase/payment of the extended warranty – beyond this time the extended warranty is no longer available to the Authorized Repairer.
What if I can’t find all the serial numbers?

PTU, VCM and VMM (where applicable) are mandated, if you cannot locate all serial numbers contact customer service who may be able to help identify your details.
I have mislaid my extended warranty certificate, what do I do?
Contact customer service who will be able to issue you with a new certificate free of charge. |
